Musical Comparison of Major Methods

One of the objectives of the Project Pickled Egg project is to identify Treble Dodging Major methods that are musical in their plain course and can be rung to musical compositions. This page lists many of the methods discussed on the PPE Discussion Facebook Group together with some of the traditionally popular methods for comparison.

The methods have been ranked by descending music score based upon the highest scoring composition found in October 2018 using an extended search in Composition Library using its default music score. For a fair comparison the length has been limited to conventional length quarters (1250-1440 changes) and peals (5000-5280 changes).
