Morrison's Law

Morrison's Law is a cognate to a well known hypothesis concerning behaviour on mailing lists, [Godwin's Law]. Morrison's Law states
"As an electronic discussion of change ringing grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving the method Rutland approaches one."
Citing Godwin's Law during a mailing list exchange often indicates the discussion has reached a point where it should end, and discussion ceases; unfortunately, citing Morrison's Law appears to have no corresponding impact at all.
